Australia V/S South Africa Second test highlights result

Some great performances by South African side but it was all about debutant Pat Cummins who have enjoyed his test debut here at Wanderers, Johannesburg stadium to seal 2 wicket win over the hosts South Africa and ended in 1-1 series draw. Australia V/S South Africa series resulta 1-1 Draw.
South Africa was chasing a 30 runs lead and once again it was Hashim Amla's, scored his 14th century, brilliant 105 run knock to overcome 300+ mark. In the end little entertaining cameo from  Dale Steyn helped SA to overcome 300 runs lead and set Australia to Chase 310 runs to win in about one and half day.
Initially everybody is talking about debutants here at Wanderers some brilliant bowling were seen from Vernon Philander and of course from teen age Australian bowler Pat Cummins who completed his first five wicket in test match and completed match figure with 7 for 117.
Australia started their run chase with little bit of harsh when Vernon Philander cleaned up Shane Watson with a inswinger delivery when Watson was playing for leave and soon after Phil Hughes was caught in to the safe hands of Jacques Kallis.
But now it was the duty of ricky Ponting to be a responsible enough to score runs and make sure that they are going to win this match.
Usman Khwajah scored 110 ball 65 runs and get out to Imran tahir soon after Puntr also get out to a real blunder from Morkel.

But in Vernon Philander, the Man of the Series, they have at least found a seamer of high quality, and it was he who seemed on course to deliver victory.
But Mike Hussey and Haddin put together a watchful sixth wicket partnership of 50 and with the sun starting to beat down on the ground the odds seemed to be swinging slightly in favour of Australia.
Philander's relentless line with a hint of seam movement either way had accounted for Clarke and Michael Hussey, either side of Morne Morkel's dismissal of Ricky Ponting, leaving Haddin, Johnson and the tail to confound conventional expectation and collect the remaining runs.
Clarke was bowled early, Ponting chased a wide delivery into the slips, and Hussey was pinned in front of his stumps in the penultimate over of an extended afternoon session. Ponting, Haddin and Johnson are all at the mercy of Australia's newly-formed selection panel.
At 215 for 6, Australia seemed to have as much of a chance to win as Haddin and Johnson had to make runs, based on their horrendous records this past year. Yet, somehow they forged a partnership of 72 to erase the bulk of the deficit, and after Haddin's exit was followed by that of Peter Siddle, Johnson and Cummins ran down the final 18 required.
No 18-year-old in cricket history could have enjoyed a debut as extraordinary as Man-of-the-Match Cummins, who followed seven wickets for the Test with a batting contribution of wondrous composure. He offered one chance, a sharp return-catch to Dale Steyn when nine were still required, and the resulting boundary was critical. Steyn, so often South Africa's salvation, will curse his drop. But In the end it was Cummins and Johnson who had the last laugh to a series decider 1-1 Draw with two wicket win to Australia.
