Sl v/s Pak 5th ODI highlights result

Sohail Tanveer's unorthodox spell with his unorthodox bowling action with 4 for 34 and a fluent stand between Umar Akmal and Misbah-ul-Haq results in 4-1 Sri Lanka v/s Pakistan series win to Pakistan.
After winning the toss Sri Lanka decided to bat first. Well talented depth in their bowling Pakistan started well with both the opening bowlers with two new ball in the swinging conditions.
Pakistan seamers stepped up and well supported by the spinners later.
Sohail tanveer didn't have pace but he managed that one with his swinging ability. He fooled opener Upul Tharanga with an away swinger after feeding him three deliveries on the trot that moved in through the air. He was more threatening when he pitched the ball short of a driving length, something he realised quickly after being driven down the ground by Dinesh Chandimal.
In the interim, Umar Gul forced a loose shot from Tillakaratne Dilshan, who was caught behind. Thirty two for 3 soon became 46 for 4 when Chamara Silva, replacing an injured Mahela Jayawardene, was sucked in by a length ball that he nicked straight to slip, giving Junaid Khan a wicket in his first over.
The only batsman managed to stick to a slow pitch was Kumar Samgakkara who scored 78 runs by 100 balls. Angelo Mathews helped him along with 61 runs. They both managed to score 118 runs parternership between them.
And last but not the list Perera's little 18 ball 25 runs cameo helped them to cross 200 runs mark to set Pakistan 219 runs Target.
Pakistan started their run chase slowly with 24 ball no run phase when Mohammad Hafeez played some stroke to manage those dot balls.
The experienced hands of Younis Khan and Misbah, however, guided them in typical, workmanlike fashion. In a little over ten overs together, the pair added a half-century stand and strengthened Pakistan's position. That was undermined when Younis and Shoaib Malik, who have great record against India, were trapped in front by Mendis off consecutive deliveries in the 26th over.
Umar often left his crease to get to the pitch of the ball and comfortably kept the runs flowing. Misbah, on the other hand, opted to play from the crease, sweeping, reverse-sweeping, shuffling from one side to the other restlessly but effectively and keeping the required-rate under control throughout.
In the end it was Umar Akmal's quick 60 ball 61 runs get them to chase down the target to complete their task of 219 runs with 16 balls left.

India V/S West Indies, Third Test, Day 2 Stumps

India v/s West Indies Test match enters in to the new phase since all the top six batsman got to the half century including Darren Bravo's century. Darren Bravo began Day 2 for the West Indies with two sweetly timed shots to the boundary.
Indian Bowlers didn't get wickets since the pitch isn't offering them too much assistance.
Ishant Sharma got the vital breakthrough - picking up Kirk Edwards wicket when West Indies score was at 314 runs.Kirk Edwards made 86 runs before he get out to Ishant. That hasn't brought much relief to the Indian bowlers though. Kieran Powell has picked up from where Edwards left off and Darren Bravo has made his way to his 3rd Test century - and his second consecutive one.
That brought in Powell, who started shakily - getting knocked on the back of his helmet by Ishant on his first delivery. That didn't faze the 21-year-old, though, and he showed off his footwork against spin, dishing out a boundary an over. Powell initially dominated his partnership with the well-set Bravo, making his intentions clear early on by charging and lofting offspinner R Ashwin over his head, a stroke he repeated several times against the spinners.
Darren Bravo and Powell manged to build a huge partenership of 166 runs before Powell Get out to his personal score of 81 in the bowling of Ojha.
That strike sparked a rare period of Indian dominance, with five wickets going down for 48 runs. Aaron and R Ashwin did the damage for India in that spell, during which Samuels unleashed some eye-catching drives to reach his half-century. An awaited declaration didn't come on the day, and neither could India bowl out West Indies, which meant Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir didn't have to bat after spending almost two entire days in the field.

India V/S West Indies, Third Test, Day 1 Stumps

After being outplayed in first two test matches West Indies strongly come back here, first day,in third and final test match between India V/S West Indies at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai.
With the help of half centuries by all the top four batsmen West Indies managed to get themselves in a great situation. West Indian young batting line up did a fare job in the absence of Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Brathwaite and A Barath scored 68 and 62 respectively.
After winning the toss West Indies immediately chose to bat on a batsman friendly pitch. But MS Dhoni was looking for a moisture on the wicket but it wasn't happen intially.
Both Ishant Sharma and debutant Varun Aaron - taking the place of the rested Umesh Yadav - got little sideways movement.
Spinners were introduced as early as ninth over of the innings. Pragyan Ojha did well-documented trouble against West Indies with the turning ball. The first wicket came in the 51st over of the WI innings.
Ashwin picked two quick wickets and sent West Indies on backfoot. Now it was the turn of Brain Lara copied D Bravo and Kirk Edwards to set themselves on the turning and bouncy pitch.
They provided a sample of their forceful strokeplay in the short period they were in the middle before tea, and continued their cavalier scoring after the interval as well. It's still early days in their career but their performances so far point towards an exciting long-term middle-order pairing for West Indies.
Ashwin continued to harry the batsmen with his variations, getting the odd delivery to jump sharply, but it was the other two spinners who produced India's chances in the final session. Virender Sehwag got an edge down the leg side off Edwards but Dhoni couldn't hang on to a tough chance, while Ojha was denied a wicket as Rahul Dravid put down a Bravo catch at first slip.
Towards the end of the day's play two faster bowlers didn't get any reverse swing as they took new ball avail but it wasn't also helped them along and WI were in strong position with 267/2.

Australia V/S South Africa Second test highlights result

Some great performances by South African side but it was all about debutant Pat Cummins who have enjoyed his test debut here at Wanderers, Johannesburg stadium to seal 2 wicket win over the hosts South Africa and ended in 1-1 series draw. Australia V/S South Africa series resulta 1-1 Draw.
South Africa was chasing a 30 runs lead and once again it was Hashim Amla's, scored his 14th century, brilliant 105 run knock to overcome 300+ mark. In the end little entertaining cameo from  Dale Steyn helped SA to overcome 300 runs lead and set Australia to Chase 310 runs to win in about one and half day.
Initially everybody is talking about debutants here at Wanderers some brilliant bowling were seen from Vernon Philander and of course from teen age Australian bowler Pat Cummins who completed his first five wicket in test match and completed match figure with 7 for 117.
Australia started their run chase with little bit of harsh when Vernon Philander cleaned up Shane Watson with a inswinger delivery when Watson was playing for leave and soon after Phil Hughes was caught in to the safe hands of Jacques Kallis.
But now it was the duty of ricky Ponting to be a responsible enough to score runs and make sure that they are going to win this match.
Usman Khwajah scored 110 ball 65 runs and get out to Imran tahir soon after Puntr also get out to a real blunder from Morkel.

But in Vernon Philander, the Man of the Series, they have at least found a seamer of high quality, and it was he who seemed on course to deliver victory.
But Mike Hussey and Haddin put together a watchful sixth wicket partnership of 50 and with the sun starting to beat down on the ground the odds seemed to be swinging slightly in favour of Australia.
Philander's relentless line with a hint of seam movement either way had accounted for Clarke and Michael Hussey, either side of Morne Morkel's dismissal of Ricky Ponting, leaving Haddin, Johnson and the tail to confound conventional expectation and collect the remaining runs.
Clarke was bowled early, Ponting chased a wide delivery into the slips, and Hussey was pinned in front of his stumps in the penultimate over of an extended afternoon session. Ponting, Haddin and Johnson are all at the mercy of Australia's newly-formed selection panel.
At 215 for 6, Australia seemed to have as much of a chance to win as Haddin and Johnson had to make runs, based on their horrendous records this past year. Yet, somehow they forged a partnership of 72 to erase the bulk of the deficit, and after Haddin's exit was followed by that of Peter Siddle, Johnson and Cummins ran down the final 18 required.
No 18-year-old in cricket history could have enjoyed a debut as extraordinary as Man-of-the-Match Cummins, who followed seven wickets for the Test with a batting contribution of wondrous composure. He offered one chance, a sharp return-catch to Dale Steyn when nine were still required, and the resulting boundary was critical. Steyn, so often South Africa's salvation, will curse his drop. But In the end it was Cummins and Johnson who had the last laugh to a series decider 1-1 Draw with two wicket win to Australia.

AUS vs SA test day 1 highlights Stumps

Australia's persistence and South Africa's undue haste conspired to round up the hosts for 266. Having advanced as far as 241 for 4, South Africa lost 4 for 4 to Nathan Lyon and Peter Siddle in a frenzied 18-ball passage after tea. Australia's captain Michael Clarke nipped out the final two wickets in fading light that prevented the full quota of overs from being bowled.
Jacques Kallis' fluent and fleeting 54 had set the rhythm of the innings on a friendly pitch, its pace and impulsive shot-selection maintained by AB de Villiers and Ashwell Prince.

In the final session Prince, in particular, looked like he could be out any ball, and ultimately it was his airy drive to mid on that started the rush of wickets.
Though Lyon and Siddle took the spoils to a series of thoughtless strokes, Pat Cummins also deserved considerable credit for the quality of his bowling on debut, which reaped the wicket of Hashim Amla and was comfortably the most economical of any Australian paceman. He also claimed a ripping catch to account for de Villiers.

Concerns about Shane Watson's fitness were partially assuaged by his return to the field following an earlier hamstring complaint, but he did not move from first slip and it remains to be seen whether he can bowl again in this match.
Watson had taken the second wicket to fall, that of Jacques Rudolph, and his continued inconvenience will affect Australia's bowling options. It will also place more burden of performance on the 18-year-old Pat Cummins, who became Australia's second youngest Test debutant after Ian Craig.

Having won the toss, Graeme Smith and Rudolph walked to the middle to face Johnson and Cummins, who each gained some movement and bounce. Johnson was rewarded for a decent line when Smith fenced at a delivery that seamed away slightly and offered a catch to Clarke at second slip.
At the other end, Amla was centimetres away from falling lbw to Johnson when one straightened enough in the air to clip off stump but not strike it flush - meaning Amla eluded Clarke's DRS referral. Watson replaced Johnson, and soon had a flat-footed Rudolph touching an angled delivery on its way through to Brad Haddin.
Kallis' arrival brought a flurry of boundaries as Australia pitched up in search of swing and outside edges, but the tourists were less perturbed by that than the sight of Watson wincing and walking off before the completion of his fourth over.
Amla's more sedate stay was soon ended, flashing hard at Cummins to allow Ponting to hold a fine snare at slip. The wickets slid South Africa to 129 for 4 and brought Lyon's return to the attack, but de Villiers and Prince were soon scoring almost as freely as Kallis had done.
Prince has been dismissed many times by quality spin bowlers across his career, a level to which Lyon still aspires, and the bowler was only partly responsible for a dismissal that saw the batsman smear distastefully to mid on. After dismissal of him no one troubled the scorers and they went all out for 266.

IND v/s WI second Test day 4 : Highlights

A great fight from West Indies in the second innings, but it was comfortable in the end for India, they win by an innings and 15 runs. Bravo and Chanderpaul battled hard in the morning, before an aggressive stand between Bravo and Samuels briefly raised hopes of West Indies setting India a target, but a dramatic collapse meant the match finished even before tea. West Indies lost their final six wickets for 62.
Darren Bravo's resolute century, which left him with statistics to Brian Lara's at the end of 12 Tests, wasn't enough to deny India an innings win. Bravo, Marlon Samuels and Shivnarine Chanderpaul made India work hard on the fourth day, and took West Indies to their highest score following on.
India preferred to wait for mistakes, which said a lot about the huge lead they had and the state of the pitch: a slow turner. When West Indies did make the mistake, Rahul Dravid was superb at slip to kickstart a collapse of four for 20.
India began the day trying to keep things quiet until the new ball became due. The pitch had become slow, and allowed the batsmen enough time to recover even if they were beaten in the flight. There was only one hiccup, potentially a big one, in the 18 overs before the new ball was taken. Bravo pushed towards mid-off and set off immediately, Chanderpaul never moved. With the batsmen now capable of whispering to each other at the non-striker, Gambhir threw on the run. A weak and wide throw ensued, allowing Bravo to get back.
The new ball immediately produced more excitement when Chanderpaul get's an inside-edge and went on the stumps in the bowling of Umesh Yadav.
With the deficit in two figures, and once again against the run of play, Bravo opened the face to one from Ojha. The ball didn't turn as much as expected, and went low to Dravid's right at first slip. Pouched. Bravo and Lara after 12 Tests: 941 runs at 47.05.
India were back now. Six overs later Ojha produced an edge from Carlton Baugh. Dravid dived full length to his right and completed the low catch.
Next it was Samuels' turn to make the fatal mistake. He stayed back to a quick offbreak from R Ashwin, and was hit in front, deep in the crease, 16 short of what would have been another attractive century.
Next it was Samuels' turn to make the fatal mistake. He stayed back to a quick offbreak from R Ashwin, and was hit in front, deep in the crease, 16 short of what would have been another attractive century.

An unorthodox offspinner, Ashwin proceeded to produce the classical offie's dismissal, when he got one to drift away from Kemar Roach, and then sneak through the gap produced.
Darren Sammy swung a few hits, but he only delayed the inevitable. Minutes before tea, Umesh Yadav finished the game and gave India the series by rattling the stumps with successive balls.

AUS v/s SA Second Test

Michael Clarke's team is about to take the field at New Lands Johannesburg Second test in the wake of Australia's most traumatic Test defeat, in terms of a dominant position surrendered, since Kolkata 2001.
For South Africa, the extraordinary events of Cape Town provided a heartening reminder of the resilience among some of the team's senior players, but also a sharp reminder of how far behind the hosts can fall if not entirely ready for the task at hand.

The outstanding debut of Vernon Philander was another reason for excitement.
Australia captain Michael Clarke has said that Mitchell Johnson is running out of last chances, as the left armer is all set to get a reprieve in the second Test in Johannesburg.

With Pat Cummins expected to come into the attack, the skipper hinted that Johnson's left-arm point-of-difference might save him ahead of Peter Siddle who is also fighting for his spot, Fox Sports reports.

However, Clarke made it clear to Johnson that the uniqueness of his delivery won't be enough to save him for the Australian summer if he continues to fail.

Greame Smith said he expected Australia to bounce back after being bowled out for 47 in the second innings at Newlands. "They've got enough players with enough experience to have dealt with things like this and put it behind them. They know it's a fresh start. But if we can put them under pressure again maybe the amount of pressure they've been under this week can come out."
South Africa  and Australia may have final playing eleven as follow respectively,

South Africa (probable): 1 Graeme Smith (capt), 2 Jacques Rudolph, 3 Hashim Amla, 4 Jacques Kallis, 5 AB de Villiers, 6 Ashwell Prince, 7 Mark Boucher (wk), 8 Vernon Philander, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Morne Morkel, 11 Imran Tahir.
Australia (probable): 1 Shane Watson, 2 Phillip Hughes, 3 Usman Khawaja, 4 Ricky Ponting, 5 Michael Clarke (capt), 6 Michael Hussey, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Ryan Harris, 10 Pat Cummins, 11 Nathan Lyon

IND vs WI test day 3 highlights Stumps

Day 3 ended slightly better for the West Indies after they were bundled out in their first innings for 153. After Lunch Some nervy moments for the Windies openers. Barath and Braithwaite are doing their best to see off the storm. Yadav and Ishant Sharma bowled well but not well enough to get wickets.

West Indies were off to a flying start but they have lost Kraigg Brathwaite who was caught behind by Dhoni off Yadav's bowling. Barath and Edwards were counter-attacking though and this may just be West Indies' shining moments in this match.
Barath and Edwards were keeping the scoreboard ticking over without taking to may risks.
The turn that Ojha and Ashwin extracted from the pitch in the morning has all but disappeared and this has made the job for the batsmen a tad easier. They still need to bat well though.

Barath survived a loud appeal for a catch at forward short leg but lives on to battle it out against the Indian bowlers. However he was playing well and can't get better than this and scored half century.
Barath has batted remarkably well for his half-century but he has also had a few close shaves. On the other hand, Edwards looked composed and collected as he keeps the scoreboard ticking over.
West Indies went for Tea on Day 3 at 116-1 with Barath on 62* and Edwards 43*. The tourists were still trailed by 362 runs though.
Just after tea when Barath get's an edge to Ishant, and well judged catch by VVS Laxman, he made excellent 62 runs with 10 boundaries.

Edwards played well after the fall of Barath and without being panic he was very focused and played. During this he also scored his second half century.

When Kirk caught in front of the stumps while playing for a single the score was 161 for 3 and his individual score was 60.

During this Chanderpaul just scored 2000 runs against India and he will want to score plenty more runs in this innings to give West Indies any chance of salvaging something from this match.
West Indies were bundled out for 153 in the first innings, but have batted much better in the second innings to end at 195 for 3. Windies still trail by 283 runs and Bravo and Chanderpaul will have to continue from where they left off today. It's an uphill task for West Indies but they will want to make a match of it.

IND vs WI test day 3 highlights session 1

The Third day's play started with Edwards and Darren Bravo resuming the West Indies first innings at 34/2. Pragyan Ojha took his 50th Test wicket when he trapped Kirk Edwards plumb in front of the wicket on the third day of the second Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.Playing only his 13th Test, Ojha achieved the milestone with an arm ball that thudded into the pads of Edwards. Kirk Edwards was the third victim of Indian as they got 42 for 3 in 17th over.

Very soon Chanderpaul fails in 19th over when he got out in front of the wickets in the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin the score was 46 for 4.
Marlon Samuels and Darren Bravo played some fluent strokes before their timber was broken by Umesh Yadav. Marlon Samuels and Dareen Bravo scored 30 and 25 runs accordingly.
Dareen Sammy was the 51th victim for Ojha before he grabbed to MS Dhoni's globs still trialing 311 to follow-on.

After Darren Sammy's wicket no one could stick their legs on the wicket and West Indies's first Innings get all out on 153 and now they are trialing 478 runs to save this test.

Live score IND v/s WI second test

Since bad light stopped play West Indies are 34 for 2 with both openers dismissed, trailing India by 597.It looks extremely murky at Eden Gardens. India's spinners were able to spin the ball rather sharply off the pitch, Ashwin in particular.

India started really well today morning but Yuvraj Singh scratched around for his 25, and Kemar Roach produced two edges off an aggressive Dhoni's bat by the time he had reached 16. Before Carlton Baugh could catch them, though, the umpire's call of "no-ball" resonated.
VVS Laxman loves this ground Eden Gardens batted on unaffected, by tea reaching 1209 runs in Kolkata, at an average of 109.9. Resuming on an overnight 73, he didn't have to reach out for runs.VVS Laxman and MS Dhoni led India's push towards a declaration with a 217-run partnership reminiscent of their 259-run association at the same venue last year.

Sri Lanka level Series 1-1

Lasith Malinga took three wickets to help Sri Lanka to a 25-run win over Pakistan in the second one day international to level the five-match series 1-1 on Monday. Malinga took two wickets in the first over and then returned in his second spell to finish with 3-36 to help dismiss Pakistan for 210 in 46.3 overs after setting them a target of 236 runs at Dubai stadium.

Umar Akmal led the chase with a brilliant 102-ball 91 but Pakistan lost three wickets in succession in the batting power-play, including that of Akmal which saw them lose their way.

The other way SriLanka scored 136 runs in their last 20 overs with the help of their batting power play.

Akmal hit one six and eight boundaries - three of them in Dilhara Fernando's 38th over - before hitting the sixth delivery of the same over straight into the hands of mid-on to end Pakistan's hopes of winning.
Chasing 236, Pakistan were rocked by seam before Umar Akmal's dazzling strokeplay left them needing 93 off the last 15 overs, when their batting Powerplay came into force. A hat-trick of boundaries from Umar reduced the equation to 72 at under a run-a-ball, but he holed out attempting a fourth successive four.

Umar's exit ended a 62-run stand, and Pakistan were in big trouble when Lasith Malinga removed the set Sarfraz Ahmed next ball, to a questionable lbw call when the batting side was out of reviews. Thisara Perera then dismissed Umar Gul to put Sri Lanka on the brink, but Shahid Afridi kept fighting. Tillakaratne Dilshan, however sealed the deal with a direct-hit from point that ended Afridi's cameo, and with it Pakistan's hopes.

In the 36th over, Jayawardene sensed release and launched Afridi over extra-cover and the straight field for fours. Tharanga too cashed in, taking Saeed Ajmal for a raft of boundaries as Pakistan's spin gambit in the Powerplay backfired. Jayawardene pounded Gul for two more fours through the off side, and Sri Lanka had finally found their voice in the Middle East. The innings gradually decelerated thereafter, with Tharanga and Angelo Mathews falling at inopportune moments, but the Powerplay had provided enough momentum to haul Sri Lanka to a respectable total. A 17-run final over from Ajmal helped the cause too.

The remaining matches in the series will be played in Dubai (November 18), Sharjah (November 20) and Abu Dhabi (November 23). Both teams will also play a Twenty20 in Abu Dhabi on November 25.

An Impressive start for India get's them to a drivers seat as Sehwag scored quick 38 runs in 33 deliveries. But Sehwag falls after a quick start when Sammy got him out first delivery of 13th over when India's score was 66 runs on the board.
But Gauti played well after the fall of Sehwag and played some fluent strokes to ticking scoreboard with "The wall Rahul Dravid".
And also the main factor of the second test remains that can Sachin create history here at Eden gardens?
